No longer the sleepy beach community where Charles Lindbergh once made a forced landing, Flagler Beach is now a thriving beach community with a growing population of approximately 5,400 citizens. This city welcomes thousands of visitors each year to its stunning shores. Along with hanging ten on the beach with the third largest surf waves in Florida, you may want to simply amble about this vintage beach town. The charming beach shops and restaurants will make you think you’ve just stepped into a Jimmy Buffet song. Flagler Beach is home to several enchanting bed and breakfast establishments and many locally owned and operated lodging properties. The annual 4th of July Flagler Beach Celebration draws people from far and wide to enjoy several days of entertainment that include a parade, arts and crafts, beauty contests, bands, and the ever-popular beach fireworks display off the Flagler Beach Pier. This adorable beach town, perhaps the last of its kind, has evolved into a cozy getaway; a quiet retreat into Florida’s yesterday.
